Depositing USD cash in a USD Wise account in UK

Hi all,

I’m in the UK and I have approx. USD 2,000 cash that I am looking to deposit into my Wise USD account.

I can easily deposit the money into my conventional bank account but the money will be changed to GBP which I’m trying to avoid.

Therefore is there anyway that I could deposit USD cash into my USD account? I don’t know if a service like western Union can do this - i.e. I can give them cash and “send” it into my wise account (I’ve never used Western Union before).

I don't think this is possible.

I think you can deposit cash into an HSBC currency account (note not GMA) as it's meant to come with branch facilities.
From there you can presumably send to Wise if that's where you want to keep it (and if you go through the GMA I think both transfers are free).
