    Has Shawbrook Bank Gone Bust.?

It's asking and saying things like this jumping to conclusions without knowing all the facts that can send jitters through the banking industry and lead to runs on banks which may in turn lead to their collapse.

Utterly ridiculous title headline it needs changing to shawbrook to yorkshire isa transfer issue

    Exciting, no, accurate, yes
    Remember Northern Rock anyone?

So what? There is no connection between the organisations or any similarity of circumstances

Try to resolve this properly with Shawbrook, instead of doing nothing for a month and then fabricating baseless smears on here.

Meanwhile how about retitling the thread, as already suggested above

In my experience, Shawbrook will reply to secure messages quickly - generally around 24 hours.

If your wife is concerned about her ISA transfer, I assume she sent them a secure message to ask what the problem was, especially given YBS told her to contact Shawbrook. So what did they say?

I can assure you they haven't gone bust through - they dealt with my ISA transfer request last week.

My wife has  a few thousand in an ISA account and because of low interest rates decided to transfer it to Yorkshire Building Society. After  a month Yorkshire sent me a message which stated that "Shawbrook are not in a position to proceed with the transfer". I also had an account with them and last November I transferred to another bank,
the transaction went ok. Have they gone bust or is there another reason, when I contacted Yorkshire they said I had to contact Shawbrook. There office is near where I live I may pay them a visit if I can't get them to answere the phpone. What do I do now, I need the money as I am moving and buying another house.

I never received an email or message explaining why the transfer failed in fact there is no record of it on my account.

Perhaps part of the problem is that you seem a bit inconsistent about whose account you are talking about. Why would a transfer from one of your wife's accounts be supposed to generate an email message relating to yours? Did you try transferring between accounts in different person's names? How would moving to a different name account affect the ISA status? Can your wife do something about her accounts?

I find the staff tend to be clueless there but it doesn't mean the bank is going under. If you call back you will speak to someone else and get a different response just to confuse you more 😆
