Help me with my credit history

Hey all,
Recently I checked my credit scores using ClearScore and Experian.

I am wanting to start building a credit history but I am having a bit of trouble getting started, I dont seem to see any kind of ways of building a history as no one will lend to me, such as credit card companies that even provide 'credit rebuilding' cards. I have never had credit or anything like that in the past so my Experian score is high, ClearScore is pretty low as they obviously compare in different ways...

Does anyone have any ideas for me on how I can start building some kind of history?
Thank you! :)

    Hi, and welcome.

    First of all you need to look at your credit reports, rather than your credit scores - which nobody but you ever sees. You can get them from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

    Check that all the information each one holds about you is correct and up-to-date. And have a read of the information in the following link -

    Hi, welcome to MSE.

    As someone who had effectively gone through insolvency and has come out the other side I was in a situation whereby my credit history with all 3 agencies (Experian, Equifax & Transunion) were in tatters and I honestly thought that no lender on this earth would touch me until it all fell off (after 6 years). However, I was approved by a range of lenders and have built my credit history back up since then.

    Try the lenders own website eligibility checkers and ensure consistency across all forms. I recommend Chrome/Vanquis, Aqua, Ocean, Capital One, 118 Money and Fluid as starter cards.

    All free to access but will be a month or two behind;

    Clearscore = Equifax
    Credit Karma = Transunion
    MSE Credit Club = Experian

    Check these and make sure all is correct.

    Do you have any utilities or phone contracts etc in your name? That helps.

    Best of luck.
    If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £51,300)
    Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £138,087.38 (Payment 11/360)
    Total Debt = £1,125.00 (0%APR) @ £112.50pm

    No mobile phone account, utility account, that would report to the agencies?
    Mortgage?
    You can ignore your credit score, because it's a fictitious number that lenders can't even see.
