I am selling a bike on ebay and have provided all the relevant details.
A potential buyer has asked me to provide a contact number so he can come to se ethe bike before buying.
I am wary of doing this .. a friend did something similar several months ago and ebay thought he was trying to sell 'outside of ebay' so had his account was put on hold for 2 weeks.

You are right to be worried, you are risking your account by swapping details before buyer actually commits to buy. All you can do is tell them to buy but not pay, then come view the bike and pay cash if they want it.WLM21 said:I am selling a bike on ebay and have provided all the relevant details.

Be very careful how you word it, make sure it is obvious that you are expecting them to buy it properly first, don't say anything ambiguous that the ebay Bots could pick up on .
