I have been sent a renewal for Home Insurance and the price has gone up quite a lot. Looking at changing to another company but just wondered who has the best reviews for when you have to make a claim.

but just wondered who has the best reviews for when you have to make a claim.None of the ones you see at the cheap end of the comparison site list.
Hiscox, NFU and brands of that type are in a different league generally when it comes to claims handling and service. But you get what you pay for.

As dunstonh mentioned, there are those brands aimed at mid net worth and above who have service to match their clients expectations.hollie292 said:I have been sent a renewal for Home Insurance and the price has gone up quite a lot. Some big brands however play at all levels of the market ranging from the cheap and not so cheerful if you claim to also offering MNW or HNW policies. So buy their budget offering and you get their budget experience, buy their luxury offering and the experience will be much better.
Obviously most people buy on price rather than quality and so reviews of multi-positioned brands tend to focus on their budget products.0 -
I'd agree that those who regularly come in cheapest on comparison sites are not necessarily the best when it comes to handling claims. Personally I've always stuck with big name insurers, including Churchill, Aviva and LV. No complaints so far, but that's a view which is based largely on price and the processing of policy changes, matters which are relatively easy to handle efficiently in comparison to claims.0
