Did you install the Driver clearly suggested there in the first instance? :)
I think you also have a setting in the BIOS of  Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration (RAID); which is probably what they suggest that you enable. Strange that it isn't enabled since it might have been working beforehand.

I've now downloaded & installed the Intel RST drivers that enabled me to run the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management utility. After a lengthy Windows configuration setup reboot the Disk Management of Windows 10 shows the following...

Note:- the Optane drive has now vanished which I assume means that its finally in use by Windows as some sort of cache.
Intel RST was active in the bios settings and showing the 2 non-raid physical drives, Optane and SATA hard drive.
OOI this notebook only has 4GB of RAM installed (there's a spare slot for more) - I assume the Optane 16GB memory made up for the low level of RAM perhaps?
I've not had the Optane memory working since my failed re-install of Win 10 in May when the re-install drive produced a non-working notebook, hence the generic downloaded Win 10
    Thanks for all the help

Well I got hold of a spare slim hard drive to replace the one in my Asus X510UA and after a bit of a struggle I got Win 10 (downloaded previously) to install on it - the problem was it didn't seem to know where to put its bootloader. I think this is because the Optane memory is confusing things. But it is working now.
The Disk Management app shows things as follows....

Disk 0 is the new hard drive and Disk 1 I assume is the Optane drive but its not used at all - what am I doing wrong?
I read about the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management app - so I tried to install this but it won't run giving the following error ...

    Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
    TIA
Is this an HDD or an SSD?

Seems an odd choice taking into account the price of solid state drives currently. But of course free is nice. Perhaps Optane really helps.
