I had the smart metres installed around 3 weeks ago and still cannot see the daily usage on my iphone app or the IHD,
Does it automatically sync to the app or do I have to do summat manually to link it?
I'm on the Tracker tariff if that maters.

You have to wait until Octopus has set up your new electricity account on the National database. That said, I am surprised you are not seeing usage data in your IHD. You might like to report what you are seeing to smart.help@octopus.energy

The Octopus app is updated once per day for the previous day with a smart meter data pull in the early hours of each morning (sometimes later).

I would suggest that you download Octo-Aid and Octopus Watch from the App Store. Theses apps use an API link to recover usage data and costs from your actual Octopus account.

You can find your account API by opening up your account on a webpage not the App.

There is a delay, but 3 weeks seems a bit long, perhaps give it another week, and if you still dont see historical day usage, give them a ring.

Note you wont see current day usage unless you have an octopus mini device which extracts it directly from the meter.

You should have received an e-mail from Octopus with the title FYI: Your new meter is in! Stand by while we make it smart...

Within that e-mail it contains the following section:

How do I know when my smart meters are connected?

Regular energy readings will start appearing in the graphs in your app and online account. If you don't see that within 14 days of getting your new meters, pop us an email to hello@octopus.energy and we'll check it out.

As 14 days have passed since your installation I suggest you contact them.

I phoned them and they are saying they will need to send an engineer out to set it up as its not linking upto the "network".

I dont understand why the guy who fitted it didnt  test it properly before leaking.

Octopus customer service is a total shambles, I had another complaint logged with then over 4 months ago which they still havent got back to me about.
