Morning all! Sunny, kind of ..Well Costco was good for some things, bad for others. Good for bulk stuff, but quite a lot fo stuff was not really a bargain unless you couldn't get it eslewhere. I did see quite a lot of stuff with my avaricious eyes though. I'm looking for a new tv, mine has lines around the outside and two dark stripes in the middle so I saw one that was over 100 pounds cheaper than anywhere else I've seen it, just my luck, didn't have it in stock. Ah well, saved me a chunk of money..I did indulge with meat packs, bacon and sausages though, and got some present stuff and a big piece of brisket that is in the slow cooker as i type with wine and a stock cube and some celery and onion. Smells lovely. Today we're going to watch Guardians of the Galaxy so looking forward to that.Izzy, I lied, I just checked again and it's actually 30 pounds cheaper. so thank you
enjoy your catch up! Coxy, you were right about Costco, next time though I will make a proper list now I know what's there. Scones and clotted cream? Oh nom nom! enjoy! nanny, you could have done no mow May and just left it to do wildflowers. I'm doing that in some parts out the back, always happy to help a bee. Hope you are just tired too...snoozer, hope it calms down soon for all involved, and yes, go and have a relaxing couple of days oop north. TA, sounds like a lovely day was had! psst - my freezer is now chock a block again as well. camelot, he needs a chill pill. I don't understand the people who think because someone is employed, they should be available 24/7. Work is work, home is home..The sensible people work to live not the other way round unless they're doing a very worthwhile job and love it to boot. Enjoy your musical monring and the start of your travels Gers. Take care all, enjoy the long weekend if you're having one.

Late today as my hairdresser has just left, I've had a bit of a restyle quite a bit shorter than usual but it was getting in bad condition and as I get older getting thinner. Whether DH will like it I don't know- he prefers it longer, but it's my hair
.
We were pretty late home after DGDs tournament as they got through to the semi finals, but then got knocked out. The boys team got through to the final so all the girls wanted to stay & cheer them on, sadly they lost on penalties. DH went to sit in the car as his hip was aching. The wind was so bad we were freezing and we just had soup when we got in.taff- I used to love the meat /fresh stuff at c0stco but after we moved here it was a bit far to go. You have to be strong willed thoughSnoozer hope things resolve, glad you're feeling a bit better.I've forgotten who said what so apologies for not responding individually - I've got ' up at 4 o'clock with the dog brain fog'Hope you all have a lovely long weekend x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone. Hugs to anyone who needs one.
Bought some bright orange jeans from Primani last week and threw them in the washing machine with a Dylon Antique Grey machine dye. They are now a fetching shade of Labrador brown which means I'll be able to wear them to the office once about four inches is taken out of the waist. I was shocked to find jeans that came close to fitting me there as I'm on the curvier and taller side of a size 20. Wonders will never cease...
I caught a later bus to the office today than normal due to extreme unwillingness to emerge from Duvetland, but the roads were quieter - must be a lot of people taking today off to extend the long weekend. Managed to get into the office before the rain started, unlike some of my colleagues.
Have got into the habit of making a proper coffee (using my discounted Nespresso knock-off machine from Lakeland) and putting it into a heatproof bottle to drink at my desk. Saves me paying £3.50 from the So Hip It Hurt establishment across the road. Managed to get a good deal from Approved Foods ( 200 capsules of St*rbucks coffee for £16) last week which will keep me supplied for the next six months. I'm also experimenting with reusable capsules which I fill with Aldi filter coffee, which works out even cheaper.
Wednesday was the first anniversary of losing our beloved Feline Commander. DH has had a tough week as result because she was his little shadow, so we're escaping for a couple of nights away tomorrow. Not exactly money saving as such, but I'll keep any eye out for any suitable TGTG options on our travels. Not particularly bothered by the Coronation, but I hope that it all goes smoothly for those who are watching or involved.
Have your best possible Friday, whatever that looks like for you.
