Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but dry underfoot, cloudy too.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO gammon, boiled egg, saute potatoes, side salad and coleslaw..
Work was busy as had quite a bit to do. Hoping it's not left in a mess today for when I get in on Tuesday morning as I know that's going to be busy for the remainder of the week.
Have all the normal chores to do today, shopping first then heating engineer booked as our heating thermostat controller is not working (not that we want heat at the moment but don't want to leave it until we do and it doesn't work).
Keep safe and well x

Thanks for starting us off nmlc. The short fitness class yesterday was interesting, nothing taxing and I was certainly the most able person there but liked being in the company of others. After that last minute packing was done. Cases are now in the car.Last night I thoroughly enjoyed Taskmaster, it always makes me laugh. The other day there was a marvellous programme about the making of ceremonial uniforms for all the armed services for the coronation, it was completely riveting. This morning I'm invigilating a music exam, listening to parts of songs and tunes is much less boring than most. Then I'm heading off down south. 🎉 Not leaving UK until Tuesday so I have time to remember if I've forgotten anything. 😀
TA - I hope that you had a really lovely time with your DS. Thoughts to all our poorlies. Happy Friday to all.11 -
Morning All
It's raining. I spent another hour on my hands and knees scraping the drive last night, will probably get it finished by August! This is the last time I'm doing it, it's getting ripped out next time!
Happy travels Gers.
Lovely of your DS to take you to lunch TA.
Friday again, I really need a rest after this week at work, HT sent me a message at 8pm last night reminding me of something - does he ever switch off? Needless to say I didn't respond, I work long and hard when I'm there, not doing anything in my evenings unless it's life threatening.
Washing dried yesterday, I was surprised it was still on the line it was so windy!
Happy Friday. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's drab and dismal outside this morning with the drizzly stuff forecast to remain with us most of the day.
I had a lovely few hours with DS yesterday. He wanted a bit of shopping as even though DP is away for a few days he says they still need to eat! We then headed to the garden centre as he wanted some herbs for his outdoor planter. Finally lunch which was much enjoyed by us both. Once home it was feet up and nothing else got done.
Not much will get done today either! I am meeting DF for lunch postponed from Tuesday, when she didn't want to leave the new puppy until he had settled in. Aw bless! Before that I need to go to the opticians as a phone call yesterday told me my replacement specs had arrived. I hope I look less lopsided in them! If I get myself moving I might manage to do a quick dust and vac downstairs before I go and maybe give the kitchen floor a much needed steam mop.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. GERS enjoy your travels, safe journeys. SNOOZER are you feeling any better yet?"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Morning everyone
Foggy and dull here hopefully it will brighten up later.
Gers I watched that program about the uniform tailors last night too it was so interesting.
Enjoy your holiday x
I'm going down to mam and dads this morning to do his banking and then at work at lunchtime. They'll all be hyper as we have Coronation celebrations with big school - afternoon tea and a magician and a puppet show - it has now turned into a celebration of school staying open too.
Quiet night tonight as little one is staying on Saturday night instead so DD can see a friend.
Right I better move as I have a couple of jobs to get out of the way before I go down the hill.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Hi everyone,
Thank you, I am feeling a bit better and had a really deep sleep last night, I know because the hip ad knee on my right side were aching when I woke, having been lain on all night.
The family problems we have been dealing with recently reached crisis point on Wednesday night so it was just as well we didn't go away, we'd just have had to turn around and come back as soon as possible. It's a very stressful time and so difficult to try to help with.
Laura and Brian and the children have gone to Wales for a week and depending how things go we might go up to Yorkshire for a few days, we'll have to see, I need to go through the fridge and try to decide what to eat, not easy when your appetite is through the floor. I'd say it will have a good effect on my weight but it never seems to work like that, it just goes back on immediately.
Have a good day.

Morning all, it's rather a soggy day here. Thankfully I got all my ironing done yesterday 👼 and I hope that's it until we return. I decided the grass should have a much needed cut so I mowed the front. Mr Fix It started to strim the jungle lawn at the back as it was so long but gave up after 15mins with pain in his back and I had to finish it off. I wanted to run the mower over it afterwards but I was too shattered, I haven't even picked up the cut grass. The heavens opened about half an hour after I finished, good timing that. I had another early night even though I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour after tea. I hope it's the hard work and fresh air making me tired and I'm not going down with anything, there are lots of colds about.
This morning we have to go out and run a few errands then come back via the meat van, I need some of their delicious sausages and himself wants black pudding.
Gers safe travels, have a lovely time.
Camelot DD's head is much the same, it must be part of a HT job !
Hope every one has a good day.
Take care all, stay well

Morning all, and thanks for the start nmlc x
DDad is off to see a friend shortly and will take the bus - hoping he gets off at the right stop! DH and I are out with friends for dinner tonight - booked long before DDad's trip, so he will have to fend for himself later, including how to work the TV/soundbar/Virgin box.
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better @snoozer and hope the family troubles are resolved soon x
Safe journey @Gers x
Sounds like a lovely time with your DS @TravellingAbuela. Enjoy your lunch out today x
I need to post another Bay of E sale today and will pick up scones and cream whilst in the town. DDad and I will have them tomorrow whilst watching the Coronation. DH not interested and will mow the grass!
Have a good day all
