Named driver accident renewal queries!

Got a bit stuck on this so any advice helpful.
Named driver was hit by another car last month. They pulled out of a side road into us, admitted fault at scene and there was a witness. Obviously claim isnt settled yet (and our insurers have been useless).
Insurance now up for renewal and I have some queries on quotes. Our current insurers says it is a fault claim until recovered (other insurer not responded yet apparently).
Q1. Do I put that the other driver was at fault on the quote information? I have answered that it has our effected our no claims (because for the moment it has until the matter is settled - grrrr).
Q2. Obviously as policyholder I have a claim to declare. But the named driver has had an accident. The wording suggests I should tick yes to any accidents or claims got both, but if I do it registers as 2 separate incidents and increases premiums accordingly?
I assume the main answer is call those looking like the best value and discuss with them but any insight first would be appreciated!
Many thanks!

Fault and blame are two separate concepts in insurance... fault is purely about if there is a net outlay at the end of the claim, if there is then its a fault claim, if they recover all the money from a third party/insurer then its a non-fault claim.
Q1 - it depends on the exact question asked and the options available.
Q2 - ND claims are a pain when it comes to this. It has to be declared but only once, whilst the ND is still on your policy you put it under them. If you were to decide to drop the ND in the future you then put it under your name. The ND will also have to declare the claim on any other motor policy they are a PH or ND on.0 -
Thank you so much for your help! Think I may have been overthinking it a bit at the moment!
