103 credit score slump (Clearscore)?

Hello,

Today I had a slump of 103 points on my credit score, via Clearscore.

I can't see anything that has changed, other than EON appeared and is now marked as "Disputed".

I contacted them, but all good from their end.

What could it possibly be?

Thank you.

Disputed by you? Or marked as disputed when it appeared?

In terms of the score - don't worry about it - only you can see it (see the sticky at the top of the credit file section for details).

The score normally goes down when something gets added to the report - that's normal.

If the account is in good standing though, and there's a marker on it saying otherwise, then you can use the app to report a problem with the entry, and they'll then contact EON for clarification.

Not by me, on the list of accounts/utility bills etc all of them say Active except EON which states Disputed

Ok - so if at their end they say everythings ok - and you've paid your bills on time etc. raise a dispute with Clearscore in the app so that they can contact EON for clarification, and as long as all's good with your account, it'll no doubt get updated and your magic score that only you see will go back up again. (It can take a few weeks, even a month or so for things to all get investigated and updated - these things aren't quick).

Yup.  I knew it lagged behind somewhat.  Just didn't make much sense to me as it's been stable for years.  Thank you for the information :)

My 'score' according to them is fair and I've just got 0% Samsung finance for a new appliance and just got the ASDA credit card for the points. Go figure!

ClearScore lowered my made up and pointless credit score with them by 66 points today for no reason other than that next week they will send me a marketing email that I can increase it by taking out a new credit card, or increasing my credit card utilisation to "Between 1% and 35%" rather than it's current 0%, or that I should change current account etc.

Ignore your score, the reasons behind them are less honest than politicians.

I found this PDF document when browsing the information contained on the HSBC website with regards to their current accounts and it makes for interesting reading as it basically confirms what is said so many times on this forum - the credit score you see on the brokers (Credit Karma, Clearscore, Totally Money etc) are not really taken in to account as each lender will have its own criteria and create its own score.

If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £51,300)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £138,087.38 (Payment 11/360)
    Total Debt = £1,125.00 (0%APR) @ £112.50pm
