Unable to revise listing

I have a car for sale on ebay, 10 day auction with a reserve price set. It's due to close in 1 day and 2 hours' time.
I have bids, still below reserve but getting closer. I want to revise the listing to lower the reserve.
I can sign in and go to my Active Listings page and all looks OK, but when I press the Edit button against the listing line it just displays a blank screen with some shadowed field areas and however long I leave it, the edit screen never appears. If I open the listing and use the Revise Listing hotlink, the same happens. Any ideas anyone?

Generally you cannot edit auctions once they have bids on them, you can only add to the description (not edit, add to it). This makes sense as the current bidders had bid on the listing they have read and understood at the time of bid.

Never sold a vehicle on eBay before so not sure if the rules differ here.....Also I understand you just want to edit the reserve price, which should be do-able since it has no affect on the bidders and what they have bid on....as you are short of time best bet is to phone eBay and see if they can do it on your behalf?

If it doesn't reach the reserve price, then I think once the auction has ended you can make a "second chance offer" to the person who was the highest bidder. Or at least you used to be able to!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Yes - once bids are received - you can't go in and change most things - but can add a note to the original listing description. You could cancel the auction, but that probably wouldn't work out too well either. Bear in mind that with ebay a lot of auction activitiy happens in the closing seconds. Why not wait and see what happens and take it from there?

I found this, not sure if still works.

How to change a reserve price

If your reserve price isn't met, then your listing will end without a sale. To help make sure that doesn't happen, you can lower or remove a reserve price.

You can lower or remove the reserve price when:

    • No bidder has met the reserve price
    • There are at least 12 hours are left on the listing

To lower or remove the reserve price:

    1. Find your listing in My eBay Selling or Seller Hub.
    2. Select Revise from More actions.
    3. In the Pricing section, lower or remove your reserve price.
    4. Select Continue.

Just for information as it’s too late to change it now but there is a classified section for cars that works out cheaper on fees overall, your  car will attract FVFs, you’ve paid for a reserve as well which is not refundable. A classified ad costs £20 I think, lasts a month and you are fee to exchange details and information with potential buyers, insist on cash on collection and not pay any more fees.

Links to classified details if anyone is interested is here

actually the fees for listing and selling cars isn’t quite as bad as I feared, although you have a minimum FVF of £25 and a reserve fee of £9.99 and  a listing fee of £14.99.

Yes, that's what I couldn't get to work. Think it was a temporary glitch. Car is now sold at 3rd attempt. Thanks all for suggestions.
