Lastminute.com Travel Credit

Options

Hi,

Just joining the hundreds, if not thousands, of people waiting for a refund with lastminute.com of around £1300.

I opted for travel credit as I was advised I would receive this quicker than a cash refund as I was hoping to rebook the flights ASAP before prices go up. Has anyone else chosen this option and how long did it take for the travel credit to come through?
I had an update this morning that it may take longer than they first advised (a few weeks) and I’m nervous from what I’ve read about this company that I may not receive this credit at all…

Thanks

I opted for cash refund, it came through in 6 weeks minus a large cut.

The ‘cash’ refund should be the value owed from the purchase/due refund. The Travel Credit figure is often the enhanced amount to tempt you to take the LM credit over a cash refund.  There should not be a loss on what you call a ‘large cut’.  You just don’t get the enhanced bonus amount.
