Electric metre fault

Hi
I have what I believe is a faulty electric metre in my home, apologies for length of query.
I turned main supply breaker off which is before the original metre an the metre led light kept flashing constantly.
I raise with energy supplier who requested photos/video which they received. Supplier fitted a check metre to run alongside original metre in Oct 2022 as a check. The original metre has to date recorded 947 units more than check metre.
Supplier was supposed to remove metre after 6 weeks but it's still in.
Therefore this confirms my suspicion of a fault
I've been to ombudsman & sent them evidence ( photos/video/readings) they have adjudicated & informed supplier to get a independent examination done on metre.
Supplier contractors turned up at property & had wrong job booked in but when I asked engineer about a test he said metre will get chucked in box in van & go back to their returns store with rest of metres. He knew nothing about a test. As wrong job booked he said he could do anything.
Need some advice how do I know if the metre test / examination is independent or if it is just done by supplier contractors which I suspect they will say metre is ok, as I think the metre has been faulty by possible years if not months therefore may have financial implications for supplier.
Just to note I have asked for a determination test to be carried out but I don't think they'll do one.
Thanks in advance for replies.

The faulty metre was probably too big to work properly. Our meter's only about 60cm.4.7kWp (12 * Hyundai S395VG) facing more or less S + 3.6kW Growatt inverter + 6.5kWh Growatt battery. SE London/Kent. Fitted 03/22 £1,025/kW + battery £24954

Could you post a photo of the wiring layout? I'm surprised by the comment that your isolator is before the meter, normally it would be after.netrcyluam said:
