Energy - Can you claim EBSS and alternative fuel discount
We are with British gas for electricity but use heating oil as we are not on mains gas. BG originally credited our account with the EBSS £400 (£66/£67 monthly) but early this year, reversed the £400 and credited our account with the alternative fuel payment of £200. Can anyone tell me if we are entitled to both payments, or can we at least select the higher credit?

Yes you should be entitled to both payments, however, are you sure that the EBSS was "reversed" or possibly that you may not have understood the bill?

It was in fact possible to get EBSS + AFP + WHD.
So, you could have had a total of £750 credited to your electic account

Far more likely that the bill was misunderstood, there would have been no reason to remove the EBSS payments.

Thanks all. I re-checked the bill, and the £400 reversal was actually a refund, so I checked my bank account and confirmed it had been credited to my bank account.
