Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but dry underfoot, cloudy too.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night fish, fish cakes, salmon with veg/rice/jacket potato etc. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll eat but will find something I'm sure.
Half day working, not very happy as my discussions I had with work have been acknowledged by my superior who advised it had been put forward and I've heard absolutely nothing since.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your half day.
Dry this morning but rain due later. Not enough washing for a load but will wash the towels later and get them out for a while if it's still dry.
Happy holidays Snoozer, hope you're feeling better.
Hugs to you Poppy.
It's getting close Gers!
Hope your SIL is getting the help she needs Coxy.
Loads done at work yesterday with no interruptions, 4 children turned up for school thankfully with adults so they were sent away again. Honestly don't know why we bother sending out messages!
Hope everyone is well, happy Wednesday. Take care. XX

Morning all - I'm on the run. Got a wool wash on the go hoping to get it on the line before I have to leave. Showers are forecasted so I'm banking on them being short-lived.
I'm invigilating the morning session which starts at 9.00a.m. Yesterday I had one chap who was assigned a reader, scribe and an extra 30 minutes, he whizzed through his exam to finish an hour before the official 'usual' time and was off! Neither his scribe nor I am convinced that he's answered the questions adequately but he was happy.
Off for now, I hope that everyone is doing well, especially Poppy. Happy Wednesday to all.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC for starting off. A beautiful start for us. The sun has got his hat on and forecast to stay with us most of the day.
Up and at 'em early as I have an Ocado delivery 7.30 to 8.30. It's still 99p deliveries on Wednesdays so I am taking advantage as long as it lasts! Once that's all put away I then need to get ready for bus trip day. For once a lovely day for it! Probs Skipton again with a wander round the market and cs before lunch beckons. Already planning what I fancy to eat and I've only just finished breakfast!
I took my specs back in yesterday and she spent ages trying to get them to fit right before deciding it was the labs fault, so she has ordered a replacement pair! Once back home I actually psyched myself up for the back garden jobs! I got rid of some plants that hadn't survived the winter and used their pots/tubs for the perennials I got Tuesday. Just a few pots now awaiting bedding plants when it's time for them. Finally dragged the seat out from the garage so it's now ready for warm sitting out weather! I live in hope it will happen soon!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Plus those with worries and woes. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all, I'm up with the lark this morning with too many lists of things going through my head. All children and animals went home happy yesterday. I can't believe how much the DGC ate, you'd think they hadn't had any food for a week 😂
This morning I have put a wash in the machine and Mr Fix It's Oodie will get a turn later. It seems it may be the last dry day we have til we go away so hopefully it will all dry out doors today, it dried lovely yesterday. We are going over the van today to take the cover off and give it a good clean on the outside, the inside is done thankfully. I'll do some sandwiches and coffee then we can take our time, it takes us ages to do nowadays.
dp1 I took DD to Skegness Butlins when she was small too and we had a really good time but it was rather a long journey so we stuck to Minegead after that. Enjoy your holiday.
Apologies for the double spacing, I don't know if it's my laptop or MSE.
Happy Wednesday all, hugs to anyone in need. Take care and stay safe.
nan xx

@snoozer - "Thanks for all the good wishes. Unfortunately I am not very well at all and we have decided not to go at the moment"
So sorry to hear that, it's such a shame. I hope that you can rest and recover well. :)
Just after I wrote yesterday that I had given up on finding a quaich my friend, Alan, rang me from a craft shop in Glasgow to say he'd found one! Whilst he was in the shop I looked at it online, a lovely pewter one with 'til all the seas gang dry' on it. That's a quote from a Burns poem 'My love is like a red red rose' - most appropriate for a bride and groom I think.
Must dash. Take care Snoozer. 🤧

Morning all,
Sorry to hear you are still unwell Snoozer, what a shame & hope you feel better soon.
Poppy, hugs for you x
I think the double spacing a couple of you mentioned is down to the new 'editor' that was mentioned last week at the top of the forum. It looks normal once you've posted. Has new emojis and other techy stuff!
I'm off swimming on the 9 oclock bus. Yesterday was quite a tiring one, went up to the retail park- DS1 wasn't at work so gave me a lift. Stocked up on some things at Marks now there isn't one in town, and succumbed to a new denim jacket, or is it a shacket I think. We went to pick up DGS for the inter schools football tournament which he enjoyed. He had a lot of support in the shape of our blended family, me, DH, DS2, his DM,DStepdad & little sis, luckily we all get on great 😀DGD turn on Thursday . So quite late home, luckily the stir fry was quick to prepare. Will have fish goujons tonight.
Well done on the quaich Gers, sounds lovely for a wedding.
It's a lovely day here so far, hope you all have some sun in your day x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and an unexpected day off for me, my private client is poorly so I won't be taking him out today, his mum is hoping he will be ok for tomorrow.
I am going to walk the dogs this morning and then clean the fridge out as it's got very muddled and needs a good sort out. I will then go shopping this afternoon and re-stock the fridge.
Dinner tonight will be Greek salad and some chips 😃 a lovely meal and easy to prepare.
Snoozer I am sorry that you are not well enough to go away, hope you feel a lot better soon and can rearrange xxx
Have good days all and take care xx7
