Statutory maternity pay two jobs

Hi all, totally jumping the gun here because I am not even pregnant yet but am currently undergoing fertility treatment and trying to plan finances for an upcoming house move. We are trying to work out what we could stretch to mortgage wise if we are lucky enough to conceive and with me then taking a full year off on mat leave.
I currently split my working week between two jobs. I qualify for statutory maternity pay with both jobs (I have been in both for long enough and earn enough from both. Both have also confirmed that I would be entitled to SMP with .)
Would I be entitled to claim SMP from both employers simultaneously?? Google seems to think yes but this seems too good to be true. Would this mean I would be entitled to double the weekly statutory amount that I would get if I was full time at just one job?
Feel like I must be missing something.

Provided that you qualify for SMP in both jobs then it will be paid in both jobs. Only one MATB1 certificate can be issued so you will need to agree what evidence the second employer will want, possibly a doctors letter or just a photocopy of the MATB1

Maternity leave
Am I entitled to maternity leave in each job if I have more than one job?
You are entitled to maternity leave in each job if you are an
employee. Maternity leave gives you the right to return to the same job
on the same terms and conditions.https://maternityaction.org.uk/advice/rights-for-parents-with-more-than-one-job/

As an extra bit of information, not only can Statutory Maternity Pay be claimed from more than one employer, so too can Statutory Sick Pay so long as the qualifying conditions for each employer are met. Both SMP and SSP can be paid at the full rate from each employer.

Amazing, thanks all this is super helpful and has put my mind at rest.

It's a very strange quirk of the benefits system that somebody working 2 part time jobs can received a lot more in benefits than somebody doing the same number of hours but for a single employer. Grab it with both hands.

Hi,
I have a similar question - I have multiple roles within the same city council as my employer. As in, I get paid for different jobs with different departments, all on the same pay slip. Would all of these be taken into consideration when working out my average wage for SMP? Or would they look at each job individually?
Thank you!0 -
The rule is that if your NI is calculated on the total earnings for both jobs then SMP calculation uses those total earnings as if there was only one job. If NI is calculated separately on the two jobs then SMP calculation treats them as separate jobs so could qualify for SMP on both only one or neither depending on the earnings.
If you are unsure what figure has been used on your payslip you can check the NI that would be due on the total or the seperate totals added together here....
