Do not call them on the invoice number google eBay number or contact them through your account

This is the exact same as mine, the amount didn't show on mine either because it was paypal.com

Yes, your instinct is correct - this is a scam.

Any paypal user can send another user an invoice. So, while it is a real invoice sent through the Paypal system (definitely do not pay it), the ultimate goal is to get you to call that (scam) number on the invoice. They will then try to perpetrate one of the usual scams on you once you reach out to them.

They are using Paypal as a way of evading spam filters and for higher engagement. Treat it like any other unsolicited contact.

Where did the text "This invoice has been reported" come from?

Was it already in the email, or did you interact with a button in the email to make that appear? If the latter then be careful clicking any links in an email you suspect as being a scam - you might have just told the scammers "This email address exists, feel free to continue sending scams here"

It’s a scam, been doing the rounds for ages. You are supposed to panic and phone the number on the message or clicking any links.
