Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but dry underfoot, cloudy too.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner yesterday was gammon, pork pie (menfolk), cheese, salad and hot potatoes.
Back to work today but a short week, and another next week.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Mixed weather here we had a couple of hours of glorious sunshine yesterday but by the time I had finished the housework and sat outside it clouded over.
I had the little one overnight on Sunday, we came here on the train and went back on the bus. She was a joy as usual but it means I don't sleep too well. It was an early night last night!
Well done on the decorating Ruby, your light fittings sound fab.
Enjoy your invigilating Gers.
Happy holidays Nanny.
It's an in-service day at work today, looking forward to getting things done!
Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks.I decided to make lists for my packing instead of making a meal of it! That cleared my mind and I was able to crack on with it. Thank goodness. First thing yesterday I went to Marks for a few things to take to my friends and a couple of jars of their tomato and basil soup for my store cupboard. This morning I'll strip and remake my bed. I want to get all the linen washed and out on the line before I go out. The forecast is for dull but dry weather. All go this week.Happy Tuesday to all.10

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Thick cloud here and forecast to stay with us all day. At least no rain! Yesterday was lovely and sunny but still that nippy wind about taking the edge off the temps.
Things didn't go to plan yesterday as DD rang to say she was off to the garden centre if I wanted a trip out. Of course I did. A bit early for the bedding plants but I did get some perennials to replace the ones that died off over winter. They are still to pot up so maybe this afternoon.
Today not going to plan either! No Tuesday lunch out with my DF as it's postponed until the end of the week But for a lovely reason for her! She lost her beloved dog a couple of weeks ago and on Saturday went to look at some Cocker Spaniel pups! She was smitten and they went back yesterday, after stocking up on puppy essentials, to collect the one she had fallen in love with. She sent me some photos and he is gorgeous. So she doesn't want to leave him straight away and wants a few days for him to settle in before leaving him in the care of her OH.
So I am still going in town as my specs are in need of adjusting. I don't know if I have one eye higher than the other but they are not sitting well. I don't need anything else so it will be straight down and back.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning everyone rain again and not much warmer back to work today I’m going to see how this week goes I have never been on the sick in my life but last year I had a condition called chondrites I think that’s how you spell it it was the muscles in my rib cage from heavy lifting and I feel as if it’s coming back it might be that I’ve just done to much I’m going to see how this week goes and if it gets worse I’m going to try and get a doctor appointment on Friday I will see how I go the work is so heavy and relentless I’m just struggling with it at the minute I’m definitely feeling my age I will see how I go it seems to have eased over the weekend but I keep getting twinges. WW tonight I don’t know what the scales will say I will soon find out . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all
Dry and bright and sunny here and looks to be a good day, three people coming today and we are going to a local open air museum (where they film the Repair shop) for a walk around and a picnic.
I did not sleep well at all last night I think I saw every hour, early night needed tonight I think. Dinner is a lasagne which I made Sunday so it will just need heating through, will do a big salad with it.
We changed the tap on the utility sink yesterday the old one was very difficult to turn off and dripped a lot so we changed it for a lever type tap it’s so much easier and looks better.
TA the puppy sounds lovely 😊
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Hi everyone,
Izzy, that sounds nasty and painful, take it as easy as you can.
I'm still trying to fight off the ridiculous cold I have, I did another covid test yesterday because my temp shot up on Sunday night and I have got a relentless cough. It was negative again so the holiday is still on, I just hope I don't end up like a wet weekend, we are travelling such a lot.
I have a hair appointment this morning and then we are going to drop off the camper van, we emptied it yesterday, I had forgotten how much stuff we had in it. I also have an oven cleaner coming today so I'm looking forward to a sparkly oven as well as a clean house because it's the cleaners day today as well.
I probably won't be on for a while so I hope everyone stays as well as they can and have a good trip Gers, see you on the other side.10 -

You deserve a break from the demands of family. As for the cough, if you increase your fluid intake it really helps to soothe a cough.Happy holiday.Ruby - your post reminded me about some countries legislating for only levers on taps and doors on new builds. Seems it came in from 2014 or so in USA and Canada as well as some Scandi countries. My sink and basin have levers because they are mono-types though my doors have knobs. The only closed door with a knob is my back door.

Morning everyone
Bit dull here this morning but at least it's not raining.
I had a quiet day yesterday...read my Sunday Times and walked down to the shops for a few things.
I've a few jobs to do this morning and then I'm at work at lunchtime.
Snoozer - enjoy your holiday and I hope your cough disappears soon
Izzy - could you just take a couple of days off this week to rest a bit. I don't think I'd last a day at your job!
Camelot - I'm always ready for an early night too when little one has stayed he night before.
Gers - is it next week you go away? I think it was at the same time as we go to Butlins - little one is so excited she rang yesterday morning to tell me that was one more sleep done!
Right I'm going to get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x12 -
Morning all .Thanks for the start nmlc. It's dull & grey here. The recycling bins have just been emptied & my shopping delivery all put away. The kitchen is tidy tooYesterday DH got back around 2ish so by the time he'd had a shower and got changed I didnt feel like going to the retail park. It was quite sunny by then so we got DS1 to saw down a tree stump and the dead clematis that had been growing up it on the banking at the back and chopped it up to go in the green bin. There were quite a few short branches so DH chopped them up to save for the log burner next winter, then he sat and had a beer. Then I had to coincide the chicken roast with half time football they started watching on tv. We left the pud until after it finishedDS2 and DGS paid a quick visit on the way back to his Mums, & DS2 gave his dad a quick neck massage as it gets very stiff - he has a qualification in Sports massage that comes in very handy sometimes!I think tea tonight will be a beef stir fry, it'll be lateish when we get in due to the 1st of the school football tournaments so need something quick.Camelot hope you get lots done at work without constant interrution.RR open air museum sounds good.TA I bet the cocker spaniel pup is adorableGers and Snoozer have good trips.Sorry you're in pain Izzy, hope it feels better soon.Bye for now x

I think it was at the same time as we go to Butlins - little one is so excited she rang yesterday morning to tell me that was one more sleep done!I'm going down to the NE on Friday to spend the weekend with my closest / oldest friends then back up to Glasgow on Monday and fly away on Tuesday. I'm not surprise that your LO is excited, it's a big adventure for her. What a wonderful Grandma she has.Well, I've got my bed linen blowing away on the line and I've wrapped up three gifts to take with me. I've given up on the search for a lovely quaich so have settled for other things instead. Nothing for my nephew, he's getting me, his two brothers and his sister as my present for him. Usual wedding gifts in S Korea are confined to money so I've told him that the flights are my offering!Weather is still dull, windy and mild, washing should be dry by the time I get back at about 4.00p.m.10
