Went to purchase item with offer get 20% of with this code FURN20 but when entered in promo box it said does not apply to this item

When into the local store they where unable to add the discount due to them not having it in stock. Given a Customer service Number !! 0345 640 3030 Automated response if you do not have a order number we may not be able to help choose one of the following options as the none of them applied i remained silent it went through the process three times and then disconnected. Got a another contact number 0345 640 2020 but this had the same automated response so i then said i had a order number and eventually was put through i explained the problem and i then was told i was being transferred to the correct department turned out i was put through to Argos card services who then stated that the person who i first spoke to should have dealt with it. Transferred again and was asked for my details so it could be referred to a resolution team and they would get back to me in up to 48Hr.I pointed out that the promotion ended 02-05-23 I also asked for a email to be sent detailing this but did not receive any

I assume the code FURN20 is for furniture.

Is a bath panel categorised as furniture?

I can see the flash saying 20% off with code, but does that require a different code?

When clicking the special offer drop down it states
"Save 20% on Indoor Furniture. Use code FURN20 at the checkout. Offer valid until the 02 May 2023."

therefore the code is the one the banner is referring to, but I expect you are right a bath panel is not furniture and has been listed on this item in error.

Seems to have been included on the 4 PJH products Argos sell, either by error or there's a glitch with the code.

OP Argos aren't really famed for customer service you can of course politely bug them or you could report it to the ASA if you felt inclined to do so but even if you had any entitlement to the voucher because of the advertising it's only £7 which sadly is going to be impossible to enforce if Argos won't help

No doubt I've confused myself, but is the OP complaining that they can't use the code because it doesn't apply to the bath panel, or because it's out of stock?

When you put in the code Furn20 there was 120 items listed which included 4 different bath panels and a number of bathrooms cabinets which would not be classed as furniture either but code worked for these. Of the 120 item nearly 50 percent would not be classed as furniture

FURN20 Promo code is back on again and on the same item as last time a bath panel which most thought this would not be classed as Furniture but the promo worked this time.
NEVER GOT A RESPONCE from resolution team
