Injury compensation following motor accident

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to ask this......

I was involved in a motor accident around 2 years ago when my car was hit by a HGV, there is no dispute about liability. I have a solicitor who is preparing my claim, I have attended various medical appointments to assess my injuries and I am hoping that we are reaching a conclusion. The solicitor has suggested a settlement figure but this is a lot less than the compensation I have in mind, though, I accept that my knowledge of this area is not great. I have looked online at the Judicial College guidelines, which suggest a more significant sum than is being suggested, though I'm sure it is more complicated than that.
Is there anywhere that I can obtain a simple ball park figure based on the conclusions of the medical reports? I just want to reassure myself that I'm not being sold short just to clear the matter up. Advice appreciated.
TIA

Unless you have whiplash (or other soft tissue injury) and its post the Whiplash Reforms then unfortunately its not straight forward.

Its worth checking that you are on the same page with your lawyer... cases can have multiple heads of claim and your lawyer may be talking about PSLA only where as you are considering loss of earning etc as well etc.

Thanks for the reply, I understand there are different aspects but I am just looking at personal injuries.
For example, I have a report from an ENT specialist which concludes I have moderate tinnitus and some hearing loss as a result of whiplash from the accident. It's difficult to find reliable information online, but I found this which comes from guidelines issued in 2022

Tinnitus and/or Partial Hearing Loss(d) (ii)£14,900 to £29,710This bracket includes NIHL and tinnitus that is moderate in nature or tinnitus that is moderate to severe or NIHL alone.

Tinnitus and/or Partial Hearing Loss(d) (iii)    £12,590 to £14,900       Tinnitus that is mild in nature with some NIHL.

The lower figure is substantially above the total figure the solicitor is suggesting for the whole injuries claim. There are also additional injuries that I have medical evidence of. I have no doubt it is more complicated but I want to try and get some background before I go back to the solicitor.

The above is the current government guide which is aimed at minor injuries, it puts slight hearing loss or tinnitus at up to £6,500. Unfortunately the full Judicial College Guidelines arent available for free online and whilst various accident management companies and solicitors have online "calculators" I would suggest taking them with a pinch of salt as clearly they have motivation to make you want to claim.

You ultimately have to read the full doctors report, you cannot rely solely on the use of the word "moderate" if the rest of the wording in the report says its having minimal impact on you/your life etc. There are no set definitions of mild, slight, moderate etc and doctors often switch between them
