    Hello
I would welcome advice on how to deal with problems created by children of beneficiaries.
My late mother did not leave a will, so two family members were made administrators of her estate, and they have died without doing the job of distributing the assets.

    Snip...
I'll appreciate some guidance on this problem. Thank you.

Did the later of the two administrators leave a will with executors

If they did then executor chain probably applies.

    Hi
@getmore4less The previous administrators did not leave a will. I have asked the question, their families say no wills exist.

Has (or is) anyone administered either of the deceased administrators estates?

How can I get the keys to the property? My brother's children have access to it but have refused to give me copies. My intention is to see the state of the property, social services only have a coded safe key to open the outer front door. Inner door is the main door into the house.  His youngest son has lived there for a while is challenging/daring me to get whoever I wish involved.

have you checked that the land registry has not been changed to your brother's name?

Oh Thank you! so much for your responses. Below are the answers to your questions/queries:
    1. I have checked the Land Registry; it shows my late mother's and the name of building society which gave her an interest only loan which was used to pay for repairs to the property.

    See above.

First, you need to get legal rights to deal with your mother's estate all in order.
Then, I wonder what the market is like for selling a property at auction with awkward family in it?  No idea, might be worth talking to auctioneers about it!
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

You need legal advice as to WHO can distribute the estate.

If your deceased sibling administrators had wills, the job of completing the administration would probably go to the executor of their wills.

In the absence of an executor or two, I suspect right to complete the administration goes to the person (or one of the people) who has the right to administer deceased administrators' estates.

Were the deceased administrators married, divorced, widowed, with children?
