    Just a final update

Yes DFS offered me a refund as they could not supply what I had purchased & then they simply didn't process the refund - but told me umpteen times they had & also everytime I chased it -  gave me new timelines for when i would receive this.

It was a super clear case of mis - advertising something & it not being supplied as advertised  (i.e 38cms tall & advertising this at 50cm tall - the manufacturer for the item also advised they could not supply this at the size shown i.e the size I bought).

DFS just didn't bother to actually process the refund - this is what caused the delay.

DFS took over 8 weeks  from the day they offered me a refund for me to actually get my money back.

The refund payment was split between my debit card as I paid a deposit with this & the credit agreement.

Note * I did reach out to the credit company "creation" as they don't have a customer service phone number but it took 8 days for them to email me back so it was super difficult to correspond with them.

Also DFS did offer me £100 as a gesture payment for the terrible service as they don't offer compensation. And to keep DFS true to form - this also had to be chased when after 2 weeks nothing had been received  and I found out that rather than sending this to me - as I expected  - it will go back to my finance agreement - next week (so around 3 weeks since they offered that "gesture").

    Thanks again for reading.
