Long story short I applied for this job as it stated "No experience necessary full training will be provided" the boss saw my CV and thought my previous jobs would carry over to this, realty is it's not comparable, it's like hiring a vet to work as a GP, similar but different kinda thing.
So I got limited training and was let loose, told to do things a certain way which I did, turns out this way was totally wrong, a major !!!!!! up was made costing the firm thousands.
So I'm up in front of the firing squad in the morning which I've been worrying myself silly about all weekend. How do I handle it? Is it even worth stating my case? I think they need someone to blame and that's looking like me.
(1) first of all wait to hear what the boss has to say before responding
(2) provide them with a copy of the job description and explain that it stated no experience necessary
(3) calmy explain that you felt the training was not adequate and no help was forthcoming, also explain how your previous experience did not translate in this particular job.
Good luck and best wishes2 -

I agree the news about the house is the last thing you need, but actually getting you out of the house can be an extremely long and drawn out process. I know somebody who's ex-partner was told the same thing by her landlord, she stayed put and it took nearly 3 years to get her out. Covid probably didn't help the process, but it generally isn't easy to force somebody out of the house. Speak to either Citizens Advice or your local council as a matter of urgency. Hopefully at least that issue can be addressed.

Lack of training isn't a valid reason!
Failure to follow procedure (which you mention in one of your other equally unhelpful posts) could, under some circumstances be wrongful dismissal. That does not have a two year qualifying period. However, the maximum such a claim would yield would be a day or two's pay for however long it would have taken to do it properly.
That assumes that the OP has a hard and fast contractual entitlement to a particular process being followed. That is unlikely, to say the least, as any well written employment contract, company handbook etc, will make it clear that such procedures are not contractual.3 -
