Who to get quotes for fascias etc

Im finally ready to get fascias replaced but very worried about who to trust.
I have Coral coming out to quote but know they may be pricey but feel they may be the best choice for peace of mind if things go wrong.
Who else could I get to quote that is trustworthy and would come back if things go wrong?
Also what kind of prices should I expect for normal 3 bed semi, wanting anthracite fascias with white soffits?

I paid £1800 2 years ago for that.

We had black fascias and rain goods with white soffits last year on a four bedroom detached for £3800 (10 year insurance backed guarantee).

BTW this was North West England.

How did you decide who to use though. Im just worried incase anything goes wrong and I have no come back on the installers if just use a local firm?

That's why you get an insurance backed guarantee and not just a warranty

In our smallish town there's always seems to be someone getting new fascias and soffit etc fitted, we chose our supplier based on who we'd seen that was making a proper job of it. The firm we picked gave a good quote and a faultless installation, our next door neighbour then got them to do his place based on the job they did on ours.

Local recommendation if you can. I started with Checkatrade (in the absence of anything else) but struggled to get local people to come & quote. Eventually managed to get quotes between £6k and over £8k. One actually said he didn’t want the job. Large extended 4 bed bungalow with 7 Apex, so not bog standard.  That’s for white soffits & fascias and anthracite gutters & fall pipes. 

I was surprised at the cost but it is what it is. Went with a local builder who is working in new village & came with recommendation. Little change from £6k & I had to pay some upfront to secure a start date later this month. 🤞🏻

It protects against the contractor going out of business. A 10 year warranty )or however long) is useless unless the firm is still operating!

When you get quotes, you ask how long their warranty is and whether it is insurance backed.

Indeed. "in the absence of anything else" otherwise forget the commercial sites like this where contractors pay to be listed.

Use sites that actually verify the quality/reliability of the contractors eg

* Trading Standards (Buy with Confidence)
* Consumer Association (which?)

I gave up on Which? Trusted Trader some time ago as there were so few entries & those that appeared had few reviews, many years out of date. I wasn’t aware of the TS Buy with Confidence, so thanks for that.
