Prfoblem with My Humax Box

I have a Humax set top box model number HDR-1800 T and have just started to get this problem if my TV is switched on and the Humax is on I get the message no signal but.if I go into the TV guide on TV the all the programs are listed. So to watch the TV the Humax needs to be turned off which means cannot do any recording.

Check the aerial cables/connections.  Remake and suspect.  Try alternative fly leads.
Keep the hdmi and aerial cables apart.
    Try different hdmi cable.

Cross-interference between the two is not uncommon.

With PVR off at mains the RF pass-through amplifier is off, so a tad surprising the TV works like that.  You must be in a strong signal area.

You may have to change the input, sounds like you have TV selected rather than your HDMI cable. Check this on your TV remote control.  Or press the STB button on your Humax remote.

Then you have switched off the RF passthrough amplifier when in standby... Read the manual:  page 53

It is < power saving in standby > that needs to be switched off to allow the Humax to pass an amplified signal on to the TV set.

I select HDMI input for the Humax and the TV input for the TV

when both are on you need to have STB selected on the Humax remote control. Might be PVR. Or media!

My Humax refuses to deactivate its HDMI signal when on standby, which interferes with the TVs ability to switch inputs by itself.
I had to manually switch the TV to another input and I'm fairly sure it was forever coming on with a black screen and the Humax HDMI selected.

I fixed it by connecting the Humax through an HDMI switch that I can turn off.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
