Is it Working Tax credits you're claiming and is it you that's working at least 16 hours per week? If so then you'll be entitled to the disabled element from the start of your PIP award. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/disability-elementIf it's not you that's working but your partner and your PIP includes the Enhanced daily living then you can claim Severe disabiled element of WTC.

My husband works 39 hours and has got PIP. I don't work but I do get carer allowance as I look after my mum0

The above advice will apply regardless of who the PIP award is for.
