Best joint credit card overseas

Travelling to the us soon and looking for a debit account, that allows joint credit cards with no fees for overseas spending.

We have used the nationwide flex account in the past, but now the benefits have changed.

Ideally want a joint credit card that spends from the same account rather than separate ones.

Can anybody recommend something?

Hi, have a read of the info in the following link, from this very site.

No such thing as a joint credit card in the UK but it may offer some useful alternatives/tips.

There no such thing as a joint credit card, there will be one account holder. Of course just adding an additional cardholder will achieve the same end.

Generally there is no such thing as a joint credit card in the UK.  It will be a second user card on the primary user account.

    What's a debit account?
If you mean a current account, then you don't need it to apply for a credit card.
For credit card for overseas spending see MSE article: Travel credit cards
In the same article (with misleading title) you will find debit cards for travel as well. A current account can be joint with two debit cards.

I have the Halifax Clarity credit card and my wife is an additional card holder. We have our own cards and separate pin numbers but everything comes through on the one account.

Worth remembering that the main card holder on a "joint" credit card is responsible for all debts.

others have explained the concept of additional card holder on a Credit Card, but worth mentioning that Travelling to the US one should seriously consider a Chase UK bank account (both of you should open one). It has a virtually unique feature of allowing free ATM withdrawal at Chase extensive network if ATM (every stares but for Alaska and Hawaii) at 0 forex fee, plus 1% cashback. This could be backed up by a forex fee free Credit Card like Barclaycard Rewards or Halifax Clarity. I recommend it to a friend that went on a road trip across Arizona and California and she could not stop thanking me for how well Chase worked (aside of having personally experienced across NY, California, Florida, Georgia and Alabama).

Also - J.P. Morgan has just bought up the failed First Republic Bank, that should/may extend their ATM network ?

Sure, it will probably take some time to integrate systems etc, however when I was in LA last year, I noted that if there was a First Republic branch, a Chase one was not too far. They also have quite limited coverage in terms of states presence.
