Warranty on replacement doors

I bought a kitchen 7 years ago, after 5 years various doors and panels started to bubble . Wren supplied new doors and panels under the original warranty. I’m now told there is only 3 years warranty on the replacement doors (this completes the original 10 year warranty on the doors). Is this correct and is there anything I can do about it considering it took 5 years before I had problems with the original kitchen ?

    Hello OP

Generally a warranty won't restart if the goods are replaced, this should be noted in terms of the warranty

warranty is in addition to consumer rights so can have any (fair) terms.

Whilst consumer rights doesn't have a time limit after 6 years you aren't able to enforce them via small claims or such.

    10 years cover on the
warranty for something like kitchen doors isn't bad going IMHO. :)

Yes, it's correct.  Warranty clocks rarely restart.  The warranty promised 10 years' use of doors and panels, and that's what you're getting from it.  Hopefully more, because if the new ones don't cause problems for five years, you'll have had 12 years' use of doors and panels.

Consumer rights avenue would be a waste of time after seven years.
  • Thank you, that’s made things a bit clearer now.
