Travel Insurnace shot up?!

I'm just looking for insurance for a 3 week trip to Cambodia and Thialand next year and the cost of the policies are over £100! Last time in 2017 we did a similar trip my records show we paid £35 for a basic policy with one health condition (back pain, no surgery, no painkillers, no mobility issues etc) surely tiis increase can't be because one of us has gone over 40?!

Might be inflation ,cost of running their office, wage rises etc.

I would imagine costs have increased a lot in the last 6 years

Health based insurance increases overtime even if you have no new diagnosed conditions simply because you are older, your close relatives are older etc and realistically we all become more suspectible as we age.

Its not clear what your back issue is given no meds, treatment etc... but in principle it sounds like one of those things that is hard to disprove if you say you need to cancel because its flared up again.
