Eon Next Direct Debit
Why on earth has EON Next not reverted the direct debit payments to pre-subsidy levels now that the government subsidy has finished? They've left it at the level as though we're still getting the £67 from the government.
Surely they are making a rod for their own backs?

They left it for April but should have recalculated for the year from May and set a new amount. Is there not "An update on your energy costs" in your messages dated around 30 Mar ? My daughter's states " Your direct debit needs to change" and sets the new amount and mine states "we will inform if your direct debit needs to change" although I had already reduced it from the pre EBSS amount.

mines been reduced because we've managed to ramp up a fair amount of credit which I'm just trying to get reimbursedNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

By leaving it for April they've immediately added £67 to everybody's outstanding bill. Yes, I've got a message about re-calculating the direct debit. I've made a direct payment of the £67 to make up for the undercharge in April. I'll wait to see if they make an adjustment to their calculated DD.Just seems a lackadaisicle way to deal with the change. We're 18 months into a 2 year fix so we've been insulated from most of the price craziness so far.0

Same with Sainburys energy. I'm not so bothered as I have credit and with warmer weather the credit will only increase if the dd increases.0
