As per title
I have a password protected .xlsx file in my (up to date) Dropbox folder.
It opens fine on my PC but on my phone, it just comes up saying "File type not supported. Couldn't download file. Please try opening in another app"
All other .xlsx files open fine on the phone.
Any clues as to what's up?

if you are using Office online (?) it doesn't support password protected files

Do you have a 365 license? You can install Excel onto the phone if you do.0

There must be one, but I use Excel on my phone and the only other option I have installed is (Google) Sheets which cannot open password protected .xlsx files unfortunately.1

Most odd - how long has this been happening? It used to work fine.

I was interested in this because this week I got an xls file that i couldn't open.Eventually I managed to open it on an old machine running Office 2000 on Windows 98. (But still didn't make sense at first look)It appears that the .xls file I got has company specific macros embedded in it, and so if you are not on the company network ......1
