Is the LLoyds fee worth it?Will it effect my Credit rating if i change?

Options
Hello all,

Ive become an avid reader of these pages & am slowly making my way through them all!!

Ive been with the TSB for abour 12 years, I have a number of accounts that i transfer money between & 2 loans. I pay an account charge on 1 account, for extras. Insurance etc...i dont always use them but are good to have. Are there any banks that offer same service for lower price or for free?
As i have been with them for so long will it effect my credit rating to swap banks?

Sometimes places ask you how long you have banked at you bank for....

No it won't affect your rating, although some companies like to see consistency.

As to whether it is worth it - that depends entirely on you. I pay 25 pounds a month for a Lloyds Premier Account. It comes with a load of extras, of which I only use a few. These are mainly:-

Identity Theft Protection (I had this before and it was 7 pounds pcm)
AA Option 400 (Usually 10-15 per month) (I know I could get a cheaper breakdown cover elsewhere, but the AA have been excellent when I've used them previously and I'd rather 'pay' extra for a trusted name)
Worldwide Travel Insurance for myself & partner (Would cost around 10 per month usually to include Wintersports cover etc).

Those three benefits on their own make it worthwhile for me to have the Premier AC, and it comes with lots of other benefits - some of which I use (Card Protection, Mobile Phone Insurance) and some of which I don't.

If I never went on holiday or didn't drive, the benefits to me would be much less so I wouldn't have it!
