Poor quality clothing return

Hi. I bought a couple of hoodies from an online retailer. I washed them before wearing and they have gone really bobbly -- the quality is awful. I am still within the initial 21 day return window but the website (UK) says returns are accepted with tags still attached. What are my rights?

Is it a UK retailer?
Not sure what the 21 day return window you refer to is - is that the retailers return policy? They can set whatever policy they like but still need to comply with UK consumer law if they are in the UK.
So you have 14 days to return the item for a refund for any reason. And 30 days to reject the item for a full refund if it's not of satisfactory quality (as you seem to be saying). If you are rejecting because it's not of satisfactory quality they can't ask for it with tags or deduct anything from the refund.
If they're a decent reputable retailer then they should refund you - if they're more fly by night they might try to stonewall you on agreeing that it's not of satisfactory quality and then you'd have to take action to enforce your rights and the question would be if it's worth it for a couple of hoodies.

Who is the retailer?
.co.uk does not mean it is a UK company.0
