Day 1- finally!

I have finally (after years of living in fear and hiding) taken on my historic cc debts. I’m starting a debt management plan on Tuesday and am now under a Breathing Space thing. I’ve lived like this- scared, depressed, at times suicidal, ashamed and unable to admit what has happened- for so long. So, it will take just over 7 years to clear but for the first time in so long I feel like maybe I can breathe again. I’ve got just over £21k to clear, 2 ccj’s (which due to my hiding from this for so long I was not even aware of!) to sort. I’m of the understanding the dmp company will deal with creditors etc as I can’t. Just can’t even talk to them- mad I know. I’m hoping the plan will clear potential legal action. Hopefully. So, today is day 1.

Welcome. However may I suggest that you post on the main part of the board so the regular experts can make sure you are making the best choices, for example letting the debts default whilst saving an emergency fund, also making sure that you are with a free provider for the DMP....
I wish you well0 -
