ESA new Style

I did a application for ESA and had my first appointment at my local job centre with work coach was on 18th April I was given a commitment to look into and understand how my ESA works also report any changes. My work coach said as I am still employed she will arrange a phone call in 6 weeks time.
I have today received a letter in the post for a phone call appointment on 16th May.

There is nothing mentioned in the paperwork I signed about 6 week appointment it was word of mouth before I left. Do I need to contact the work coach and say that she said phone call in 6 weeks not 4 weeks.

Also will I need to sign a new work commitment again as not in a position to do something hard because of mental health and and other health issues?

Thanks

As you said yourself the appointment wasn't confirmed at your last appointment. Now you've received a letter in the post to confirm that appointment.

You can claim New Style ESA from the day after employers have stopped paying statutory sick pay.

I suspect that Work Coach has worked out they need to see you in 4 weeks, so they can progress your claim at the earliest opportunity.

The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Is a new claiment commitment made at each interview let's say every 4 weeks? Also I'm all new to this ESA do i have to agree to a claiment commitment if I dont feel comfortable with it? I suffer with mental health depression on a few different meds

    Thanks

You shouldn't have to agree to a new commitment every time, only if/when something changes, and any changes should be in line with your limitations.  E.g. if they remove the requirement to look into how ESA works because you've done that, you would then have to agree to the new, updated commitment that no longer contains that requirement.

New commitments are not issued at every appointment. The appointments are generally to ensure claim is progressing with payments being made and to ask about any changes in circumstances.

Each ESA claimant will have different circumstances and therefore the appointments are to support people.
