Hi,

I had some unpaid holiday this month and my monthly wage came in at £950. My mobile phone sim card is no longer working so I cannot login to my Universal Credit account, we claim as a couple (We have a 3 year old) my partner has checked her email and she has a telephone appointment for next week. I am guessing that is because my payment was under the minimum of £988? She is due to give birth in June, so my question is, from now my wage will always be about £1100, so will this be OK? I work 24 hours a week at £10.90 an hour, and normally bring in an extra £100 bonus.

As we can't currently open our Universal credit account, I can't see why she has been asked to attend a phone appointment, but guessing this may be the reason? I am calling them this afternoon to update to a new mobile number.

Thanks

She shouldn't have any work related commitments from 11 weeks to the birth date and 15 weeks after.

Yes, if she is not earning and your earnings dropped below £988 then she will be required to attend regular appointments. Once your earnings increase back above £988, she will no longer be required to attend.
You will need to sort out access to your UC account - it is your responsibility to log in regularly and complete any actions in your ToDo list.

Yes, but first she will need to declare that she is pregnant and provide a copy of her MATB1 form from their midwife confirming the due date. She can discuss this with her Work Coach at her phone appointment next week and drop a copy of her MATB1 form into the jobcentre.

"You must provide evidence of the pregnancy and the due date by providing a MATB1 from your GP, hospital or midwife. You can get a MATB1 when you are 20 weeks pregnant so you shouldn't report it before then".

"However, if you have a health condition at any point in your pregnancy, you will need to tell Universal Credit."
