Chase account - authorizing payments

I have my Chase debit card registered for payments on both Amazon & Sainsburys.
When I but something on Amazon, it goes straight through.
When I make an order on Sainsburys, I always have to 'Authorize' the payment via the App.
Any idea why the difference?
And any way to fix it so I don't have to keep using the App for Sainsburys?

The exception Amazon are making for Chase is quite unusual / weird, and possibly against UK regulations.

For years Amazon's been well known for not and not wanting to implement 2FA.alanwsg said:I have my Chase debit card registered for payments on both Amazon & Sainsburys.

OK, BUT...
I only recently (a couple of weeks ago) started using the Chase DC for those accounts.
Before that I used a Santander 123 CC, and neither account asked my to authorize via the app with that card.

We didn't use to be asked because the 3D Secure checks have only recently become mandatory. Not sure how Amazon managed to exempt themselves.alanwsg said:OK, BUT...

Just a heads up, Chase did not pay 11 Amazon S&S orders this month.
I have a complaint in with Chase.
Amazon gave me £20 for the issues.
