Hi I am in process of completing IHT400 and all of the many schedules that apply as a consequence of completing this form. I have had a conversation with lawyer who is saying that because my father in law had a testamentary trust plan will this is not a straight forward will . He advises me to use lawyer . Don't know if he is just scaremongering me. What are the complications to this type of will does anyone have any advice for me please.

I would certainly take professional advice in setting up the trust, but it should not make the IHT return more complicated.1

What does the will say.
Could be a simple IPDI or something more complicated.0
