TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Magic Radio – Disney Cruise Line On Air” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes: Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	Listeners must pre-register at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/ for their chance to play on air. 1 contestant per day the competition week will be selected to come on-air to play the game to be in the chance to win.    Pre-registration for this competition is open from Wednesday 26th April 2023 00:01 and closes Thursday 4th May 2023 9:00am. [GE1]    Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Magic Drive production team, the production manager, and an independent judge.   We will be shortlisting entries from the open of the competition on the 26/05/2023 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 04/05/2023 at 09:00. On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss their reasoning as to why they deserve to be entered into the chance of winning. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online.     On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win on being told they are the winner* by the production team on 05/05/2023.  On being bought to air as a finalist** from 01/05/2023- 05/05/2023 does not equate to the finalist being the final winner, there will be one winner that will be selected from the finalists, and this will be awarded on-air on 05/05/2023.   All nominators will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded.  If the chosen finalist is unavailable when we come to call them a competition record date, a backup finalist will be chosen in their place and the original finalist may miss out on winning.   The 1st finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 28/04/2023   The 2nd finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 28/04/202 The 3rd finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 02/05/2023 The 4th finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 03/05/2023 The 5th finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 04/05/2023   Each day from Monday 1st May until Friday 5th May the finalist’s segment will be played as live/ or as live if pre-recorded on-air during the Absolute Radio Breakfast show. On Friday 5th May a winner will be selected from the 5 finalists and awarded the winner’s prize on-air***   *The winner is the person who is announced as the final winner by the drive production team on-air on 05/05/2023. This person will be selected from the five finalists who will be bought to-air from 01/05/2023-05/05/2023.    **The finalists are the persons who are bought to-air from 01/05/2023- 05/05/2023.   ***The winner will be requested to come on-air to have their win announced   Entering online does not guarantee you will be invited to play the game or win the prize.   All final decisions will rest with the Magic Radio Production Team.[GE2]      The Magic Radio Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast.    Competition Mechanic:    During a pre-promote to the Drive Promotion an online page will appear on Magic Radio’s website on the win section. On-air inventory (trails and live reads) and a social clicks package* video will direct the Magic Radio audience to the page.   Once on the page it will contain details of the cruise and information about booking your cruise holiday for 2024.   The page will also contain a competition section where listeners can enter their reason as to why their family deserves to win a Disney Cruise Holiday. Entering your reason as to why you deserve to win a Disney Cruise 2024   Each day during the competition week one entrant will be bought-to-air each day (Monday to Thursday).   Once on-air they will play the game! They will be asked to answer as many Disney/general knowledge questions as possible within 60 seconds. The amount of correctly answered questions will be noted each day.  On Friday, the entrant who answered the most questions within 60 seconds will be brought to air and the winning moment will be celebrated, and the winner will walk away with a cruise for their family in 2024!   The entrants who did not win, will then be awarded with a small Disney related bundle.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Start Date and End Date. Pre-registration: from 27/05/2023 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 04/05/2023 at 09:00 (End Date).   The on-air portions of this comp will take place each day from 01/05/2023 until 05/05/2023, between 1700 and 1900. The finalists will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.    The winner of the competition will be announced on-air on 05/05/2023 during the breakfast show.     Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.    Winner Announcement. The winner will be brought back to air on 05/05/23 between 1700 and 1900.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Specific Terms. If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. The Recipient will be required to make advance reservations for many onboard activities and events, including without limitation the youth activities spaces, shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, and the fitness centre.   Some experiences, shows or events may not be available or may be modified depending on the evolution of the safety and sanitary measures and recommendations from public authorities. We will be applying a 2% discount to all final bills to account for this.   If it becomes necessary for Disney Cruise Line to cancel your cruise due to the pandemic or other extraordinary and unavoidable circumstances, we reserve the right to postpone or substitute the Prize at any time.   There is no alternative prize and the Prize cannot be exchanged for cash or an alternative prize.   By participating in the Promotion Recipients and their guests agree that they will be subject to Disney Cruise Line Booking Terms and Conditions to the extent they apply to Disney Magic at Sea Staycations and save for the sections relating to the fees of the booking. Guests 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the National Health Service. NHS currently defines fully vaccinated as 7 days after the final dose. Disney Cruise Line will contact the Recipient prior to sailing with instructions on how to show proof of vaccination status.  Guests under 18 years old are NOT required to be vaccinated, but most provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result (paid for by the Guest) taken between 5 days and 24 hours prior to embarkation. Disney Cruise Line has secured a special discounted rate through a third-party vendor for PCR tests and will contact Guests prior to sailing with instructions on how to complete and submit their test results. Guests may obtain their PCR test from the third-party vendor or qualified testing supplier of their choice.  All guests, including those who have been vaccinated, are also required to undergo an antigen COVID-19 rapid test administered by a third party in the terminal prior to boarding, at Disney’s expense. Anyone testing positive at the terminal will undergo a second test to verify the results. Guests will positive COVID-19 test results and their party will be denied boarding.  Daily temperature checks and health questionnaires will be required for all Guests prior to embarkation and during the cruise. All Guests aged 11 and older are required to wear a face covering on the ship and at our terminals unless in their stateroom, eating or drinking in a designated seating area or while stationary, swimming or occupying a deck chair.  COVID-19 WARNING  We have taken enhanced health and safety measures for all Guests, Cast and Crew Members. You must follow all posted instructions while sailing with Disney Cruise Line. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the UK government, older adults and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.  By sailing with Disney Cruise Line you agree to follow all health and safety measures implemented by Disney Cruise Line and relevant governments and authorities. Health Acknowledgement Please make sure that you have reviewed and follow any advisories or restrictions that may be in place for travel, including those posted on gov.uk/coronavirus. Guests who are or may be at increased risk of severe illness due to contracting COVID-19 should consult with their health care provider before sailing. By boarding a Disney Cruise Line ship, you are confirming that you and all persons in your party are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at CDC.gov, including: Fever or chills; Cough; Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing; Fatigue; Muscle or body aches; Headache; New loss of taste or smell; Sore throat; Congestion or runny nose; Nausea or vomiting; and Diarrhea, and have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine and/or are not under any self-quarantine orders. • Entries which do not comply with these Specific Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Specific Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
