Hi everyone,

dp1, such good news.

Gers, good luck with the physio. I hope I don't need hearing aids, my ear canals are very small and headphones are usually very painful, even the doctor uses a child size otoscope on them. In fact I have a very small head overall and Steve has a very large one, you'd think our kids would have normal sized heads but no, Chris has my pinhead and Laura has Steve's large one.

We had an adventure on Monday night. I'd seen the pictures of the aurora over Yorkshire from the night before and the met office were saying that it was likely to be better on Monday (seeing the aurora is about the only thing on my bucket list) so Laura persuaded us to drive up to try to see it. Unfortunately it didn't materialise but for the most part we enjoyed the drive, listening to our audio book. We'd have stayed at the Yorkshire house except Steve had to be back for a dentist appointment.

Brian's in charge of dinner tonight, probably a one pan roasting tin dish, they're usually delicious.
