Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but cloudy start to the day - should stay dry.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO turkey, jacket potato, chees and beans, salad, hot boiled egg. Tonight I'm not sure..
Half day work today.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's cold again but fine.
Thank you for your good wishes for the funeral yesterday - it went as well as these occasions do.
Camelot, hope you got an optician appointment, and are not having to wait too long. Work sounds challenging, and frightening, hope today will be better.
TA, hope your hairdresser managed the half hair cut, it did conjure up some interesting pictures in my mind! Joking aside , I knew what you meant !
We're invading Scotland today with our caravan, it'll be as cold there as it is here I'm sure, so there's plenty of warm clothes in the van.
Hope everyone has a good a day as they can, take care folks.11 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Enjoy your trip to scotland Scarlet, hope the weather is kind to you.
Work was a bit better yesterday, roll on Tuesday when the children aren't in!
I have an optician appointment for Friday, obviously they don't think it's too serious.
The weather was lovely yesterday but still a tad cold for my liking although I did sit outside for a while with a magazine - my lovely neighbour gave me a big bag of posh mags that I will pass on to my next door neighbour.
It's cold and overcast this morning, I think our run of sunny weather is over.
Hope you are all well and have a happy Wednesday, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC for starting us off. It's another blooming cold start but at least no frost today. It didn't start warming up until late afternoon yesterday. I don't ever remember late April being this cold before. SCARLET you do right packing your winter woollies. Have a good trip x
The Covid booster clinic for us old codgers was quite busy yesterday but was well organised and I was straight in and out. There are no side effects this morning other than a slightly tender arm where I was jabbed. I can live with that!
My half haircut request seemed a bit confusing to the hairdresser but she did leave the length alone this time, but cut the sides shorter than normal for some reason! She can get a bit scissor happy some time!
I'm up and at 'em early this morning as I am off shopping with DD and she is collecting me at the start of the school run. I am determined not to get carried away with freezer stuff as they are both jampacked already! Famous last words!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning folks. It's colder this morning than yesterday which turned into a beautiful though chilly afternoon. My audiology appointment was good. The technician understood my problem so took a mould to make a new earpiece which he'll put a hole in. This should at least help resolve the too tight fit. He kept asking if I'd ever shot guns as my pattern of hearing loss indicated that. Even after telling him four times that I hadn't he wasn't convinced. 😀 Anyway, another successful NHS visit. After that I drove up to M&S to collect my clothes order, buy some veggies and dump the soft plastics at Tesco. I got lots of YS vegs so made a big pot of carrot, leek, red pepper and lentil soup - an odd mixture to be sure. It'll be filling and nutritious, I added in garlic and some ginger to pep it up.Today is my final health appointment, this time to the physio which will be the most challenging. I need to keep reminding myself that I need this as much as the other stuff. My cleaner is coming today so I'll do a quick tidy up first, mostly on the side table next to my chair.Scarlet - have a lovely holiday. The weather is warming up and the skies are spectacular just now.Thinking about our poorlies and missing. Happy Wednesday to all.11

Morning everyone it’s another chilly one here scarlet enjoy your trip away it is supposed to warm up a bit . I managed to lose a half a pound last night at WW let’s hope this is the start of it it’s hard work trying to shift this I’ve been very good but I think it’s a mixture of age and my thyroid but I will just keep plodding on . Work soon the bosses are away Friday and we are off Monday it will feel like a long holiday. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning, a grey start to the day here after a gorgeous one yesterday.Enjoy your trip Scarlet.I had a walk through the park again.Picked up DGS, unusual for a Tuesday but he wanted to go to a night match with us, and he didn't fall asleep either, he did last time a few months ago
. Met DB2 and DNiece at half time and had a good laugh. I made our tea earlier so it was just a case of a quick reheat. Tonight I've taken something out of the freezer for tea, again a quick heat up will do the job.TA my chest freezer is going down nicely!
Better go, I'm off to use my leisure pass to swim, ladies only on a Wed. morning.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Morning everyone and thanks NMLC for starting us off.
It's bright but chilly here atm.
I have a large rabbit hopping round my front garden this morning. He is on my drive atm and you can hardly see him as he blends in with the gravel
I am off on the bus today with a couple of friends.
Hope everyone has a good Wednesday.10 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here but the sun is due out later this afternoon, it’s my day with my private client today so I will pick him up this morning and take him to his work, we will do some shopping on the way home and he can pick his bag of sweets, I swear it’s his favourite time of the week 😃
Not sure what’s for dinner tonight will go and have a look in the freezer after this, wm is on and I will hang the washing outside before I go to work.
Gers how exciting I can’t wait to hear about your trip x
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
Sunny but cold here this morning - I've hung some washing out.
We had excellent news at work yesterday - our school will not be closed after all and instead will become a primary rather than a first school. A big relief especially as little one is starting there in September so will now be there till she's 11....and also a big relief as I'll still have a job!
Today I have a doctors appointment then will meet my mam and dad, DD and little one for lunch and then I'm stewarding at our theatre/cinema for a broadcast of a play called Good, with David Tennant. I'm really looking forward to it.
I have some new clematis plants I might get put in this morning - quite a few of my plants have died over the winter which is disappointing.
Scarlet - enjoy your trip away
Iris - enjoy your day out, you too Redruby
Rosyred - enjoy your swim - Izzy well done!
TA - enjoy your shopping trip
Gers - hope the physio appointment isn't too bad Camelot - hope work is ok
I might have actually remembered everyone today - if we've gone onto page 2 I have no chance!
Better move myself x

Morning all. Sunny again but with showers forecast..Drank my first cup of tea wandering around the font and back garden, checking the compost bins etc. We're off to see Aliens the extended cut tonight and I'm going to visit a friend this afternoon. She's off with stress at the moment, she's a traffic warden and this year so far she's had someone try to run her over, throw stuff all over her, chase her, open the door of the car she was sitting in when one of the other traffic wardens came to provide support and throw stuff on her again, call her the most sweary word ever. Honestly, the public are such entitled [insert derogatory sweary term]. Why do they all think they should be entitled to park where they like, when they like, cause obstructions etc..If any of the people who did these things did them in their every day job they'd be sacked on the spot. Rant over.Scarlet, enjoy Scotland, hopefully it's not too cold! camelot, roll on Tuesday too...TA, I hope you can turn the other cheek to the freezer goodies
Gers, I did giggle at the thought of you, with guns, being a secret assassin...Izzy, well done! sometimes it just goes up and down for no rhyme or reason. Your body is probably thinking, nope, it's cold, nuh uh, I ain't losing my protective layer. iris, pet or wild? dp1, great news about your school and for your gd....TAke care all, waving at the mia....
