Hi, I hope you can help me.
My rent has increased this month, but Universal Credit have informed me that they will only pay the increase starting in May, not for this month.
Is this something new, as previously, they always paid the increase in the month it went up.
Thanks for any help....

Hi did your landlord validate the increase in time for your payment? I had this issue but it was the landlord not responding to uc that caused the delay for me.Life throws you curve balls and kicks you in the teeth… learning to live with weird neurological complications and spine injury and hating fall.0

Yes, they validated it with UC. However when I rang UC to tell them, they said that they will only pay the increase in May, and not this month.
Very strange as this was never the case.
Thanks for the reply.1 -
It might depend what date they needed it to be validated by, ours was done about a week before payment. Hope you get sorted soon!Life throws you curve balls and kicks you in the teeth… learning to live with weird neurological complications and spine injury and hating fall.0

That's exactly what my landlord said. UC are getting back to me, so hopefully they'll sort it.
Thanks again Sarah.0 -
Glad your landlord is understanding of the situation especially given the current financial climate. Your welcome!!Life throws you curve balls and kicks you in the teeth… learning to live with weird neurological complications and spine injury and hating fall.0
