Going over credit limit

Hi all,
Recently due to high interest and reduced income I've gone over my credit limit on 2 credit cards several times. Thankfully I've not missed any payments, but I'm wondering what the long term effect will be?
I know that defaults, missed payments etc stay on your credit for for 6 years, and hard searches remain for 1 year. Will going over my credit limit remain for 6 years?
Thanks!
