Today I have decided to return VM 360 box and lose landline.
500m fibre is being downgraded to 54 mb.
I've chosen VM Social Tariff which includes Non Recordable Stream Box -total cost 20 per month.
I plan to add essential entertainment taking cost upto 28 pounds.
Any Virgin Media Stream users via mse, is it a decent enough tv viewing service.
thanks

Like you I sacked my phone line & tivo box and now just have broadband only. I'm on the M125 service (FTTC) and pay £36 per month. Think I have a few months left on this contract. My issue with the Tivo box was the incessant buffering (Youtube & Netflix) and that is rubbish when streaming. So I got a Roku thing instead, basic package and no other costs apart from Netflix. I think you will struggle with a 54mb download speed for watching TV. I still get the occasional buffering issue but nowhere near as bad.

See this for more details of what your VM Stream box does.

If you already have TV aerial + freeview + smart TV then it isn't worth it as it just provides similar, in fact fewer channels than freeview unless you pay extra.1 -
I did manage fine with 50mb over 3 wfh jobs, though not often streaming t.v.
This move is to add to Mortgage overpayments though that's on relevant thread.
VM Stream channel packs seem fine, especially +8 pounds for Entertainment which includes Sky news hd+Sky Sports news hd.
+option of re adding BT Sports next year if required.
I've experienced upto 1gb fibre and recently down to 500mb, which is very good for ps5, though minimum downloading.
I think i'll miss the point if I feel the need to restart higher speeds again, though not expecting miracles.

HD channels are excellent, took a minor oled pic mode change to experience 4K via Demo channel.
Enjoying less hardware, minimum connections only HDMI+Power, streamed tv is over wifi.
No PPV events, hope Boxing is agreed in near future.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb1
