Ticketmaster moved my seats to much worse location

Hi All, 

I have concert tickets which I bought as a 30th present for my partner. The gig is in a month. Ticketmaster have emailed to say the seats have to be moved due to equipment for the show blocking seats. I get that. However I was in a lower tier at the side and they have moved me to the absolute back, back tier, back row. I'm super upset as it was supposed to be a special event for us.
There are still some tickets showing on their site. They are refusing to move my tickets to the comparable seats. Asking instead that I rebook and have my originals refunded. How can they get away with that?! They have seats available that are comparable (in fairness they're now about £10 more) but instead have moved me to way worse seats. What are my rights here? Who should I be contacting to get them to make it right!?

Think a lot is going to depend on your definition of 'comparable' seats. If the seats are more expensive then they probably aren't comparable to Ticketmaster even though they may seem so to you. 

If you can refund and rebook then I think that's probably your easiest option before the alternative tickets disappear

I know this is a money saving site but if they're only a tenner more, they're the seats you want, and it's for a special occasion then the time you could spend trying to assert any 'rights' you may have will more than eat up the costs.

Can you actually get the current tickets refunded, and without any admin fee etc?  If so, I'd do that and buy the new comparable ones so that you have the seats secured before those go as well. Then email in asking for your costs (ie £10x2 ticket difference) to be refunded due to their mismatched changed. Maybe you get it, maybe you don't but you're not risking the whole value or poorer seats in the mean time.
