Laptop Warranty

I recently purchased a laptop from a reputable distributor and I added an extended warranty to it. when I checked to make sure that the extra warranty had been registered I notice that the warranty started in January, 3 months before I purchased the laptop. This was presumably when the distributor bought it. Can this be legal?

Your statutory warranty starts when you bought it. The extended warranty depends on the terms and conditions. What do they say?0

No such thing as "statutory warranty", "statutory consumer rights" on the other hand...0
