My 10 year old PC is now in need of dumping. I’ve been offered a Stormforce Onyx i5-9400F and want to know if this is capable of simple photo/video editing before I purchase. I use a PC but have little tech knowledge. Grateful for any advice.

It will be, but you will need to get the right software. Plenty of open source (free) stuff, but usually hard to learn although there are plenty of tutorials. As to whether it is a good buy, it depends on the specification- what graphics card*, how much memory, SSD size & type etc.*The 9400F doesn't have any graphics built in, often bought by gamers to save a few pounds over the standard 9400 as they will be using a graphics card anyway.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
