Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Light but cloudy start to the day - cloudy is forecast for the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast turkey - a turkey crown I had in the freezer. I bought it just before xmas just when there was an issue with getting turkeys in the lead up to xmas. Very nice it was too, there's some LO's.
Back to work today, will see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning allThanks for the start NMLCBright and early this morning. Off to work later. What a surprise, it's raining AGAIN! Going to get drenched as it's a long walk from the car park to the building I work in. Perhaps I should get myself some armbands or an ark!Sardines on toast for lunch. Not sure what to have for dinner yet.Hope you all have a good day x11

Morning all.So far, and I'm touching wood here, the threatened rain hasn't appeared yet. Yesterday was colder than Saturday though dry. Today looks clear too.The car valet bloke arrived in good time yesterday and worked away for an hour and a half. Now my wee car is gleaming inside and out. I'm more interested in the interior as I take the car to a hand wash place in Glasgow when I'm down and don't mind it dirty'ish. 😀 For lunch I had scrambled eggs with going soft tomatoes and limp asparagus. This morning I'm off down the road to a hospital in Paisley which is notoriously difficult to park at. It's also got really rubbish public transport links and a total lack of information on how to get there. Their website has only a link to a map, not a list of buses which go there. Anyway, I'll just go. I put off this in investigation back in 2019 when my DM first took ill, now it needs done.My appointment isn't until 2.30p.m. so I won't be home until at least 7p.m. I reckon, I'll take snacks and a book.Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Monday to all11

Morning All
Dry again, the promised rain still hasn't arrived but we've frost due overnight tonight. Washing partly dry outside but there wasn't much sunshine, it finished off by the stove overnight.
Lots of little jobs done yesterday, all those that take 3 weeks thinking about and 3 minutes doing! Also made some jam from the neighbour's rhubarb.
Good luck at the hospital Gers, hope you can get a parking space at the top of the hill.
Well done on the plastering Ruby, you've a handy OH.
Hugs to those not feeling 100% and those missing from here.
Happy Monday, take care. XX12 -
Morning Everyone - it's sunny here atm.
Thanks for starting us off nmlc.
Welcome @MollyWindley
Fingers crossed you can park at the hospital Gers - all hospitals seem to have the same problem.
Enjoy your lunch TA.
I am going to my Widows Group monthly meeting today.
Hope everyone has a happy Monday. xx10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We seem to be escaping all the rain hereabouts. Light showers keep appearing on the forecast but we've not had any since Saturday morning. Yesterday's nice weather brought all the noise makers out - one side doing the neverending mowing of all his grass and the other side jet washing his patio and tarmac. Both jobs seemed to go on forever!
I'm typing this sat in the bathroom with a colour on my hair. The hairdresser is due tomorrow and the roots are a disgrace so needs must.
Tuesday lunch with my DF has been brought forward to today. I hope it's not as busy as last Monday was. I seem to have been having a lot of lunches out just recently and always seem to zoom in on the calorific choices. I must try harder to reduce my intake! People say you don't eat as much when you are getting older but I'm still waiting for that to happen!
Not a lot else will get done today I don't suppose but if it stays sunny I might be tempted out to do some more work on the pots at the back.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. GERS I hope all goes well with your appointment and parking isn't too much of an ordeal. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all
Dry and bright here for now but we are expecting a storm at lunch time with thunder and lightning and heavy rain.
Two ladies coming today and we are off to meet a friend with her client and go bowling and a lunch visit to the Golden Arches, they should all enjoy that.
Dinner tonight will be some salmon which I will marinade in soy sauce and lime juice with roasted vegetable cous cous.
I need to hoover through this morning and straighten the lounge.
Gers I hope you get a parking space xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Good Morning chum well its dry at the moment but due to bucket down this afternoon.
Golly it was dreadful weather last night around 8.00 we even had thunder and lightening which my DDs little westie is terrified of. The big greyhound Stanley doesn't bat an eye or an ear, but Teddy the wee wastie's tail droops and he shivers and barks and whines, he is so frightened of the noise.
Bless him he is such a scallywag at times and as a rule is unafraid of anything, but thunder is his downfall. My son-in-law is so good with him, and will sit and hold him and stroke him so gently like a baby, and poor little Teddy looks so woebegoneafter the thunder came the rain in sheets for about an hour, then as though someone tripped a switch it stopped, and by the time DD drove me home around 9.30 it was mild and the temperature had risen.
The weather has been so changeable in the past week. In Kent last week it was like this, yet on the IoW where DD and son-in-law were they were on the beach most days with the dogs, and at one point she showed me her car registering 18c at Sandown yet it was freezing here in north ant and teeming with rain.
I've just checked again and it due for heavy rain again this afternoon.
Well I have a face-to-face with the new Dr at the surgery this morning for a blood pressure review of medication .As I have for the past three months being doing obs for my SMART nurses daily I said to one it seems daft to be taking three lots of BP medication if I don't need it ,waste of resources .She agreed and said to see if I could get an appointment to see the Dr at the health centre. This I did and discovered that my now DR had retired two and half years ago ! shows how rarely I see a Dr .Apart from the medical troubles I have had since Christmas via the hospital I've not actually seen my own Dr for well over three years.
So this morning I shall meet the replacement Dr who is a lady, and the practice nurse said she is excellent. So fingers crossed she will take me off unnecessary medication. I hope so as to me taking stuff you don't need is just a waste of money, and the poor NHS needs every penny it can.
Not much else happening today, I have my fingers crossed for this Friday when I see the consultant at the hospital and he tells me what the next move is re my gall bladder. If they will whip it out ,and /or at least remove the attached drain to my tummy that been there for four months now. Again its fingers crossed as I am fed up with it restricting my life at the moment. Plus the cost to the NHS of the nurses who come to my house to redress the blooming thing.
Oh well we shall see what occurs this week.
DGS Ben is coming home this coming weekend for a few days from his job in London so I will definitely be seeing him as he will come round to see how his veggie patch he's planted in my garden is doing.
He's got the children in his year five class all fired up by him explaining about how to grow veg ,even in a small plot of garden. He's pinched about a 2 metre x 4 metre plot at the bottom of my garden, and dug it over and planted seed potatoes in there, and in the old 'Butler" sink he's planted some red onion sets.
He was telling me via facetime how he had got the children in his class interested so I think garden centres in the Hendon area of north London had a few parents dragged there by their children over the weekend , as "Sir says we can grow stuff Mum"
Right well time to get the kettle on, enough wafflingI'm in need of a cuppa or two before I go round to see the new lady Dr.
Hope everyone has a good week, and the poorlies and sad folk get a better one.
Take care all

Morning all, it's lovely and sunny here atm, bit chilly though. I want to take a dead clematis down off the steep banking at the back. I'll need the stepladder as there is a stone wall that holds the banking up, too high for my little legs to get upYesterday we went up to the park, both DGC went but sadly DGS drone went up a bit high and the wind sent it into a tree.DS tried to get it out with the controls but no joy. DGS was upset at first but an ice cream and a go on the bouncy castle soon put him right. I've said I'll have a look to see if it gets blown down when I go for a walk later, it is a bit windy
Luckily it was a cheap one - we talked to a man and his son who were using 1 that was £800
We had the prawn dish last night that DH made , along with Greek salad and baked feta, all vey nice & no room for pud. Tonight we have pork tenderloin, might look up some recipes instead of our usual one. DGS to pick up later.Mr M have sent me a £12 voucher of a £70 spend so I'll sort that later.Happy Monday all x

Hi everyone,
I didn't manage to post much last week because it was so busy and we had more family issues to deal with. It always drags me down and makes it hard for me to post about anything.
Have a good holiday Bella (i think it was Bella). Gers you will be going while I'm away in Spain so I hope you have a lovely time and that the wedding goes smoothly.
We have another busy week this week, Steve is at the hospital on Wednesday and we take the camper van for it's annual service at the end of the week, not to mention all the child related stuff we get up to.
I need to make a meal plan, although I'm not too enthused after all the cooking I did at the end of last week, I'll have to put my thinking cap on. One thing will definitely be a carbonara at Laura's request, probably a dahl and maybe a risotto as our veggie options, I'd like to get a piece of gammon as well so that's most of the week covered.
Have a good day.11
