HAve they been deleted into a bin which still counts towards storage? If so and you empty that bin it should reduce the size.Just checked an Gmail account that I have had for 20 years and it has 3GBAnother email that I have had for as long uses less than 400mb and this is the account I use most often.Must get my Gmail tidied up.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1

It really doesn't make much sense. I have One Drive too and yesterday after deleting a load of emails and other documents, it went from saying I had used 5.3GB of 5GB of storage down to 4.8GB used.TELLIT01 said:aayush said:
The above is what is shown on email account have deleted most of emails folder and deleted folders but still no joy
If that is all e-mails I can only assume you keep all attachments and every email you have ever received.
I have added nothing to the storage nor received any emails since then but today it reads I have used 5.2GB of 5GB storage?
Very odd. I emptied the recycling bin and it is empty I just checked.
It also says I have 15GB of email storage including attachments and messages across all folders, of which I have used 1.1GB.
Very confusing for a complete idiot when it comes to computers.

Are you deleting directly from one drive. I would guess you deleted from one drive and that it then uploaded the deleted files again from your pc.0

Yes I deleted direct from one drive.GrumpyDil said:Are you deleting directly from one drive. I would guess you deleted from one drive and that it then uploaded the deleted files again from your pc.0 -
I had a message similar to this and also deleted and emptied the junk and deleted, switched on and off, did all the usual and the message remained.
I decided to ignore it and one day it just disappeared.
If you are sure you've cleaned up - and deleted cookies.....it could be something lodged in there ... just sit it out
It will go. I have a theory it's an advertising ploy to get you to pay for space. As per Mr Lobsters post.
Is it all still working apart from the message?I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Genuine moneysaving suggestion, going to be cheaper than buying an external HDD and much simpler way to fix the problem.twopenny said:I have a theory it's an advertising ploy to get you to pay for space. As per Mr Lobsters post.
I believe the OP has said in another post that they can no longer send/receive emails on this account.2 -
Doesn't work that way. If you delete a file from OneDrive it'll also delete it from the synced folder on the computer.GrumpyDil said:Are you deleting directly from one drive. I would guess you deleted from one drive and that it then uploaded the deleted files again from your pc.
